GEN FROM THE DEN

Hello Leopardeers and welcome to our Journal.

A new Folk Club Year has started, although the Festival Season is not quite ended. We chose to forego the delights of Faversham Hop Festival for Essex's Fab Club. It was totally the right decision as we had a very enjoyable afternoon. For those of youwho haven't tried it, Fab is held on Sunday afternoons, 1st,3rd, and 4th and 5th Sundays. There is no committee, but some of us help out by compering, review writing, and sitting on the door. Everyone gets about ten minutes, and it is a great way to spend Sunday afternoons. The White Hart, Argent street, Grays.

Last weekend was Bank Holiday and was spent in Rochester at The Good Intent John Street. Saturday/Sunday was hosted by John Barden, and Monday by Rough'n' Ready. They have a beer festival too, and Karen and Dal are Folk friendly, they even like Morris Dancers,( there was a barbecue on Monday.)

We enjoyed Broadstairs, despite the lack of singaround venues. We are actively trying to redress this state of affairs, offering to help run one next year(we'll do anything for a free ticket).

You can next see us at Folkmob's Knockholt Camp.,Wednesday 5th to Sunday 9th September.

Our next gig is at our own club. Orpington Friday Folk. 7 Station Road, on Friday 28th September.

We are available for bookings at competitive prices.
